Everyday Cosplay: Captain Cold

If you’ve been around here for long, you’ll remember that after a few episodes of The Flash‘s first season, I wasn’t sure if I was a fan of the show. Because of that, I backed off of The Flash for a bit, and didn’t really keep up with Barry Allen and the rest of the gang at Star Labs. Sure, I’d watch the crossover episodes, but that was about it. But as more episodes passed, more and more people told me that I needed to give the show another shot. They said that though The Flash had some growing pains starting off, they definitely found their groove as each episode passed. I’m always game for another superhero show in my life, so I gave the show another shot, and I am so glad that I did. Any doubts that I had about the show previously are completely gone. I’ve fallen madly in love with Barry, Caitlin, Cisco, Iris, and Joe. I even have a soft spot in my heart for Harrison Wells, even though I know the truth behind his identity. Though, full disclosure, I’m pretty sure my love for Harrison Wells is a side effect of my love of Tom Cavanagh.

I like to think Harrison Wells mourned the failure of his particle accelerator in a similar fashion to Dan Dorian.

Regardless, I rescind everything negative I said about The Flash. It’s a fun, exciting show, and I love having it as a part of my superhero TV lineup. Because I’ve fallen back in love with the show, I thought I’d do an everyday cosplay outfit dedicated to one of The Flash‘s sassiest villains–and a future hero on Legends of Tomorrow: Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold.

Everyday Captain Cold

Who is your favorite villain on The Flash? Will you be watching Legends of Tomorrow when it premieres? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Well the wife and I were hooked on The Flash from the start…unlike Arrow which was so dark at times…literally and figuratively…it took us a while to warm to it. As for warming to Captain Cold I will admit he’s not my favorite simply and only because I think he’s made one too many appearances. That’s my only issue with his character. Harrison Wells simply steals the spotlight for me when it comes to being the best evil guy around…like anywhere on television today? I mean what kind of evil does it take to take years and years to guide along and groom Barry Allen for success just to serve his own ultimate requirement. The Wells character is awesome and Tom Cavanagh is superb. Like Emmy-award superb – totally get your affection for him. As for side effect love put me down for Danielle Panabaker. The Star Labs gig must pay Caitlin a boatload because she’s in literally a different knockout outfit every scene and it appears she tosses them after one wearing. I don’t know how much Cisco makes because when you roll with t-shirts we’re not talking big outlays of cash!

Flash is now in our queue on Netflix, but we haven’t started watching (we’re binging our way through Sense8 first…I’m obsessed). However, I wholly approve of Captain Bubblebeard. 😀 I love Scrubs so much!!

You definitely should. I thought it was a bit rocky for the first few episodes, but ultimately if you like Arrow, you’ll like Flash. Plus, in addition to major crossover events, characters come and go from each show regularly, which is fun.
